Featured image (Women’s Singles): Scotland’s Kirsty Gilmour brought fans to a frenzy, coming from 11-19 down to win the second game and complete a 21-13 21-19 triumph versus Tee Jing Yi of Malaysia. Earlier, Canadian Michelle Li continued her dream run with a nail-biting victory (22-20 22-20) over top seed, PV Sindhu of India. It was Li’s second success over Sindhu in the Commonwealth Games, having beaten her in the Mixed Team competition.

Men’s Singles: Two points from losing, Derek Wong of Singapore (above) rebounded to beat India’s RV Gurusaidutt (16 21 21-19 21-15) while another Indian player, Kashyap Parupalli (below), also came from behind to thwart England’s Rajiv Ouseph, 18-21 21-17 21-18.

Mixed Doubles: It will be an all-England finale as Chris Langridge and Heather Olver (above) withstood Malaysia’s Chan Peng Soon and Lai Pei Jing, 15-21 22-20 21-13 while their team-mates Chris and Gabrielle Adcock (below) beat Scottish duo, Robert Blair and Imogen Bankier, 21-14 21-14.

Women’s Doubles: Malaysian twosome, Vivian Hoo & Woon Khe Wei (above), dismissed England’s Gabrielle Adcock and Lauren Smith, 21-16 21-11, to set up a showdown with defending champions, Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa (below). The Indians defeated another Malaysian partnership, Lai Pei Jing and Lim Yin Loo (21-7 21-12).

Men’s Doubles: Singaporeans Chayut Triyachart and Danny Chrisnanta (above) savoured a hard-fought win against England’s Chris Langridge and Peter Mills (16-21 21-16 21-19). Their opponents in the final – Tan Wee Kiong and Goh V Shem of Malaysia (below) – prevailed 21-19 21-19 versus another England duo, Chris Adcock and Andrew Ellis.
